The stock head is very mellow and smooth, but is just too soft on the low end. ![]() The '20 is stock, and the '21 has an RK head. My question is if the compression is barely raised at all on the RK tpi head, how does it achieve such a big performance increase? I don't have any dyno charts to link to, but I frequently ride a '21 and '20 300 XC TPI back to back. So basically you're saying there is nothing special about the design of the RK tek head, and the same results can be had by cutting your stock head right? Normally I would agree with that, but now I'm not sure. In previous arguments you've had with Kelsey you say that the only thing that really makes a performance difference on a 2 stroke head is the compression and squish clearance.
